Is feeling misunderstood making it difficult for you to communicate your needs to the people around you? Therapy is a great opportunity for you to make space and time to share about yourself exactly as you are with no judgments. Life throws many challenges our way - breakups, loss, trauma, mental and emotional conditions outside of our control - and yet we are expected to keep moving through it all. I like to think of therapy as the treat you give yourself, so that you can make time for your own needs. I am a relational therapist trained in LGBTQ+ affirming care as well as developmental stages of life.
Because of this training, I know what is expected of us in each phase of life, and I celebrate and encourage opportunities to break the mold and be unapologetically yourself. My approach with you will be to help you trust yourself, so that you won't always need therapy. Whatever your therapy needs, treat yourself to the healing or growth you deserve.
It is easy to find counseling to help people who want to stay together, but there are moments when people need to hear that it’s ok that a relationship is ending too. I provide peaceful support for the whole family through separating well counseling. If you know your relationship has come to an end, let me support you through the rockiness of separating.

I've had the pleasure of working with unique groupings in relational therapy - siblings, adult child and parent, same-sex couples, etc. I work with all clients from a relational, or systemic lens. Treatment involves a deep exploration of self, individual values, and learning to respect and honor the values of others. Clients can expect change through fun and engaging exercises.

In studying many therapy methods, I have found that three things are important in any kind of therapy: mind/body/emotional awareness, inner-child and trauma work, and understanding relational patterns. All therapies practice some version of each of these. It is my goal to use the methods that fit best with each client.
