I come from the perspective that we have created thought and behavior habits/patterns that allowed us to survive our experiences – and that we can also re-learn new coping skills, better understand our motivations, and adjust our emotional responses to design more fulfilling lives.
Counseling is my second career, with a lifetime of experience adding to my master’s degree from a Christian university. It was my own dramatic ups and downs in a 22-year marriage and the adoption of two children with traumatic histories that fueled my desire to pursue counseling full time.
