I hope amid the challenges of life, I can make one thing easier- the process of finding the right fit therapist. At Root to Rise Counseling and Wellness, I partner with clients to decrease points of suffering and increase ability to move through life with ease, not just surviving, but thriving. With over 25 years' experience working in therapy private practice, hospitals and clinics, and trauma programs, my work addresses concerns including trauma, abuse, and PTSD, illness and pain, anxiety, religious trauma, transitions, grief, and relational challenges.
A Level 2-trained Internal Family Systems therapist, I am also a certified Emotional Freedom Technique practitioner and yoga and mindfulness teacher, and have served as a Program Assistant for IFS. Working from the IFS "C" qualities of Self, I help people move forward through a relationship built on compassion, connection, confidence, creativity, and calm.
Growing our own sense of wellness in life is not always easy- but the reward is great! My priority is to create a warm, safe, and ultimately joyful space, where each client is invited to come home to their Self, where they can find the unconditional acceptance they've always wanted. This is a 6 week practice-based group for exploring mindfulness, tuning into your inner calm, and learning creative and mind-body strategies to reduce stress, increase well-being, and enhance relationships.
