My nature as a therapist is authentic and open. I like to build an honest, vulnerable and trusting dynamic with you, where we collaborate on exploring and maintaining a curiosity about your life experiences that inform who and how you are (in the way that you think, feel and behave). I specialize in working with individuals that struggle with anxiety, OCD, mood disorders, and topics of gender and sexuality. I also work with couples, at any stage of their relationship, and my approach is informed by Gottman (I am level 1 trained), and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT).
Depending on what is bringing you to therapy, I will draw from different modalities and approaches. I mainly draw from psychodynamic therapy with the goal of bringing unconscious thoughts and feelings into consciousness. If you are seeking therapy to manage your OCD, my approach to our work would be the gold-standard, ERP or exposure and response prevention
