I have always connected with people and enjoy working with individuals who know something is not working well in their lives but who are not sure how to make changes. My values and worldview are shaped by my personal experience of multiculturalism, having moved to Houston from Singapore at age 16, and I recognize that mental health is not about what you learn in a textbook. I have personally overcome assimilation barriers and I have a sensitivity for the differences people bring into relationships. I'm trained in multiple modalities and my approach to clinical care is individualized, innovative, and strengths-based with a focus on intentional and meaningful connection.
