My clients come in experiencing self-doubt, anxiety and believing they are not quite “good enough”. Maybe you’re feeling the constant weight of perfectionism in your life and relationships. You could be tired of over performing for others and under delivering to yourself. Many of my clients overly accommodate others at the expense of their own needs, resulting in uneasiness in the body, nervous system exhaustion and burnout! I see therapy as a way to start connecting with and speaking your truth and to finally quit abandoning yourself! Most of my clients are younger women (UT students welcome!) however, I see all genders ages 18+.
I see my clients through a feminist, nervous system based perspective. That means you can look forward to meditation, mindfulness, and yoga practices being infused into your talk therapy sessions along with a curiosity around how family, culture and systemic structures have played a part in your story.
The clients I work well with are open to exploring counseling through a mind body perspective, whether that be through yoga, mindfulness of body sensation and breathing, or EMDR.
