Change can be difficult for people but wanting to feel better is a start. I believe that change is possible and that people can adjust and live up to their fullest potential. As a licensed professional counselor-supervisor (LPC-S), I believe that providing a non-judgmental, supportive environment for clients to fully express and explore their feelings, thoughts, and struggles is essential. Typically, I use a range of counseling approaches, including trying new coping skills, such as emotion regulation, to identifying and processing your thoughts to see how they may affect your feelings to exploring acceptance and how that may fit into your life.
I have worked for over 15 years with teen & adult clients in individual, couples, and group counseling. I believe in working towards the client's goals and moving in the direction of having and maintaining a healthy life. Life changes all the time, and many people can benefit from counseling to adjust to certain changes.
I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing). I supervise LPC-Interns that are working towards full licensure. I welcome diversity and work with all cultures and sexual orientations.
