Hi, I'm glad you made it. Asking for and finding support is tough, but this is the first step. Tell me, do you find it difficult to stay motivated throughout the day? Are you constantly ruminating on interactions with others, anxious about whether you said or did the "right" thing? Perhaps you spend most of your time and energy worrying about how others perceive you? Or, maybe you struggle to feel deserving to take up space in a conversation or a room full of people? If you identify as a perfectionist, people-pleaser, over-thinker, or struggle with low self-esteem or self-worth, therapy might help cut through some of that noise.
My approach to therapy is relational, collaborative, and draws upon narrative, psychodynamic, ACT, inner child/parts work, somatic work, and mindfulness interventions. I am LGBTQ+ affirmative, sex/kink positive, neurodiversity-affirming, poly/CNM-affirming, practice from a Health at Every Size lens, and use "geek therapy", working primarily with queer folks.
There is no blueprint for how to do this and it's my belief that everyone needs support at some point in their lives. Our mental health does not exist within a vacuum, it is influenced by everyone around us, the culture we live, and the systems of power in control.
