Maritime born and raised, Ottawa has been home since 2004. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) . Locally, I have worked in the mental health field since 2006 and opened my private practice in 2010. A specialization is working with men whom identify as survivors of sexual trauma and/or childhood sexual abuse. Additionally, I can help address maladaptive thought and behaviour patterns, anxiety and depression, anger management, and relational problems. Other areas in which I work include sexuality, men's issues, and LGBT concerns.
As the expert of your experience, I hope to facilitate your ability to access your inner strength, wisdom, and compassion with the aim of helping you attain your goals and expectations for therapy. I wilI incorporate different therapeutic approaches uniquely tailored, in an attempt to foster collaboration that will safely address your concerns.

Invest in YOU: Manage Anxiety with Compassion
This 8-week psycho-educational group is for individuals seeking to manage their anxiety in an accepting and mindful way by learning tools from dialectical behaviour and cognitive-behavioural therapies in combination with somatic and compassion-focused practices. Cost for the group is $800.00 plus $87.50 for a 30-minute assessment and can be covered by most insurance plans. Group facilitators are Sonia Myre, MA, RP, CCC and Wesley Moore, MEd, RP, CCC, SEP.
