It can be hard to find a therapist who feels like the right fit, especially when you are grieving, overwhelmed, facing a challenge, or feeling stuck in repetitive patterns. With patience, authenticity and a bit of humor, I aim to create a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore your unique experiences and the meanings they hold. I typically work with adults who feel depressed, anxious, or struggle with significant life transitions, relationships, parenting, trauma, guilt, and shame. I am also passionate about supporting clients through all stages of grief, including acute, anticipatory, ambiguous, and non-death losses.
In my practice, I draw upon several modalities that facilitate lasting change and growth, including mindfulness, somatic psychotherapy, DBT, EMDR and creative arts. A former architect, I continue to think creatively about how environment affects us and I understand the toll that academia and high-pressure work environments can take on mental health.
Regardless of what brings you to therapy at this time, I believe that you are capable of insight, growth and healing. Together we will draw on your strengths, get curious about what might be holding you back, and work towards feeling better. My practice is LGBTQIA+ and poly/non-monogamy affirming and welcomes clients of all identities and backgrounds.
