Being human is weird and messy. Learning to live with our own thoughts and our internal narratives can be exhausting. I work well with clients addressing concerns related to anxiety, chronic illness, grief, burnout, relational challenges, adult family dynamics, work life balance, feelings of overwhelm, and depression. I have experience working with other health professionals on their own mental health journeys. I enjoy working with "overachievers" and "people pleasers" who are interested in living a life beyond their resume and reconnecting with themselves.I also enjoy supporting clients rebuilding life post brain injury and stroke.
My goal is not to "fix" you. I don't think therapy is about getting the "A" or the "excellent". I approach therapy as an ongoing collaborative conversation. I view my role as helping you decide what narrative you choose to write for yourself. I will support and challenge you in experimenting with new patterns and viewpoints as you write your next chapter.
I believe Psychotherapy is a space that can assist us in slowing down; a space where we can be authentic, sort through our present, learn from our past, determine what we value, and build new patterns.
