Are you the person others go to for support? Are you unsure of who you are outside of others? Do you feel uncomfortable asking for help? I work with clients who have had to push their needs aside (loved ones of those struggling with mental illness or substance use issues, people in the helping professions, caretakers, etc.) often manifesting in anxiety, depression, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and low self-esteem. Together we will work to identify your values, needs, and desires and chip away at unhelpful narratives stemming from early life to make space to re-write ones that align with your values and your most authentic self.
My demeanor is warm, curious, and collaborative. I aim to provide a non-judgmental and affirming space where you can explore yourself with a sense of curiosity and self-compassion. I am also passionate about Health at Every Size and challenging diet culture so that clients can cultivate a positive relationship with food, movement, and their bodies.
In a society where mental health struggles are often stigmatized or misunderstood, reaching out for help is undoubtedly scary.
