Trauma impacts our ability to foster and maintain relationships. It frequently impacts us in the domains of safety, trust, esteem, intimacy, and power & control. Resolving trauma through processing leads to the ability to live a more fulfilled life, which is my primary goal in therapy. I believe that we have the ability to choose how to resolve our own problems and can make our own decisions with the assistance of an empathetic facilitator. I also believe that self-awareness is key to developing purpose, direction, and motivation to change, and my approach will provide you with methods to solve problems utilizing your own strengths.
Although my counseling practice view clients through a person-centered lens, I tailor treatement plans to meet the needs of the client. Therefore, I use an integrative approach by incorporating evidenced-based therapies such as cognitive processing and cognitive behavior therapy, as well as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).
As a father, husband, and combat veteran, I am aware of the hardships that life has to offer. I spent a lot of time doubting my very own existence, abilities, identity, and self-worth until I identified that my experiences were empowering me to fulfill my purpose. I am grateful for any opportunity to help others improve their lives.
