My hope for working together is to provide a space that will support and restore the dignity of your lived experience and facilitate connection and integration with yourself, others, and what is most important to you. I work from a trauma-informed, narrative and somatic perspective which means that I view counseling as a collaborative, non-linear process and I believe fully in the potential for transformation. I am especially attuned to impacts of trauma and oppression on one's sense of self, life, and relationships and commit to holding your experiences, whether triumph or suffering, and strategies of living with respect and care.
Narrative therapy can be a refreshingly different approach to therapy and including your embodied experiences, with permission and compassion, in the process can aid in liberation and transformation. A lifelong learner, my approach is creative and informed by my experience as a yoga and meditation student and facilitator, along with other modalities.
