I have a passion for helping others rebuild and reconnect, and I especially enjoy working with couples, parents, and individuals with relationship issues. I often work with people who are feeling stuck, unhappy, or exhausted by their current situations or relationships, who want change, but don't know what to do next. I like to start therapy by building a strong therapeutic alliance; truly getting to know my client's story and validating their experience. I like to help my client recognize the role their past may be playing in their present moment, but also help them learn this does not dictate their future.
I have experience and knowledge working with individuals, couples, and families coping with a variety of issues, including: depression, anxiety, anger management, trauma, stress, emotional disturbance, behavioral issues, relationship issues, co-dependency, communication, assertiveness, and more. I use a variety of techniques, while always maintaining a person centered approach.
One of my favorite quotes, "It isn't what you look at that matters, it's what you see", captures what is at the heart of my counseling style. I believe in turning life's challenges into opportunities for self discovery, healing, and growth. I believe in the power of vulnerability and authenticity.
