Understanding our feelings and emotions is not always an easy task. Our daily endeavors and experiences can very easily generate feelings of anxiety, sadness, stress, loss. Our minds are not always equipped with the fuel they need to proceed through a challenging time. People in our lives make choices that impact us in a negative way, causing us to feel emotions that seem completely out of our control. At times, we can get overwhelmed with life’s unpredictabilities and struggles, and we may need to reach out to a trusted friend for help.
As a therapist, it is my goal to become the trusting friend my clients need, and guide them towards a better decision making. I use a cognitive behavioral approach that focuses on how our thoughts and emotions influence our actions. I aim to provide my clients with the tools to challenge negative thoughts, so they may live freely and content.
