My orientation and training is informed by modern psychoanalysis: an approach that relies heavily on the therapeutic relationship as a form of technique and path to healing.
Further, neuroscience is demonstrating that there is something deeply alchemical and curative to the process of putting ourselves into words, week-after-week. Talking, when done in the presence of an attuned and valued other, is nothing short of transformative. I will be doing my part well if, over time, you come to find that you can say and feel everything.
