I became a therapist because I am in awe of our human capacity for growth and transformation. Sometimes it seems impossible to imagine feeling better, or picturing our lives differently. Though distress can have a profound effect on our bodies and minds, growth and change are always possible. I begin with the understanding that we are all are whole and have the inherent ability to cope with life’s struggles, no matter how much pain we may be experiencing.
I help with a wide range of issues, such as anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, life transitions, and relationships. I am experienced in working with survivors of domestic violence and childhood sexual abuse. I have an attachment-based, existential, and neurobiological framework, and am trained in somatic interventions, i.e. EMDR, Polyvagal Theory.
I bring a compassionate, holisitc, and collaborative approach, inviting you to tap into your inner wisdom, to explore your thoughts and feelings, and to discover new ways of being. Our diverse backgrounds inform who we are, and I will work with you to make changes in your life while honoring your culture and your values.
