Many clients I work with struggle to connect to their authentic self and inherent value and I assist in reconnection through grace, compassion and honesty. I believe healing happens when you engage in healing acts and therapy is a healing act. I know how difficult it can be to see yourself and the world clearly when dealing with symptoms of anxiety, depression, complex trauma and substance use. I believe I can guide you to create space between you and these symptoms so you can feel safe, connected and increase your capacity to experience all of life.
I am LQBTQIA+ affirming and seek to provide a space where you are comfortable sharing your full self. I may challenge old narratives and behaviors that are no longer serving you. I use a trauma focused lens and incorporate modalities like Internal Family Systems (IFS), Polyvagal theory, Mindfulness, and Existential theory into my practice.
I received my BA in psychology, but it was not until after the loss of a family member with substance use and mental health issues due to lack of therapeutic support, did I pursue psychotherapy fully. I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Palo Alto University and support to individuals with mental health and substance concerns.
