I love to work with folks who are looking for a kind and compassionate alternate perspective on the struggles they're currently going through. I'm convinced that I'm not the expert in anybody else's story, but if you show me a window into your life experience, I'm confident that I can help you develop a plan for the best way to move forward. I'm passionate about offering support and helping people learn and grow into a happier, healthier future. I know that your challenges might seem insurmountable right now, but I honestly believe that you have a whole lot more resiliency than you know.
I have focused most of my efforts on helping in the aftermath of sudden and traumatic loss (especially due to suicide). I've run a long-term support group for survivors of suicide loss, as well as supporting law enforcement and other first responders through compassion fatigue and the effects of vicarious trauma. People do get better, and treatment works!
I've seen a wide variety of clients, both as a clinician and a clinical supervisor overseeing other therapists. I've also taught at three different schools, both at the Bachelor's and Master's levels, and supervised interns from many different schools as they learn how to help others.
