There have been times I couldn't help but cry with people and I couldn't help but laugh. Suffice it to say I will join you, once you feel comfortable, being creative about finding out how to be the most alive...how to tolerate and move effectively through pain...how to live from a place of ownership, passion, love...how to just be...human. In a fast-paced world where connection and meaning are forgotten, we cultivate a space for finding yourself. Go at your pace and take seriously your story and explore ways to make changes or even start to figure out what changes you may need in your life. Life is a process for us to see about.

I specialize in insight-oriented psychotherapy. I focus on developing a trusting relationship and a deeper confidence so that you can say whatever needs to be said and address areas of trauma, dissociation, fear and avoidance, anger and self-assertion, highly conflictual relationships, and improving self/work efficacy and quality of life issues.

I work with art, dreams, role play, child and adult "play" through imagery and story. I encourage and teach free association to free up blocked areas of your life. I also focus on attunement and relationships (parent/child, couples, etc.) I emphasize posing questions and the approach - 'be curious, not critical.'

This group focuses on developing trust within the group to learn about oneself including sore spots, areas where communication and insight are wanting, access "emotional knots" interfering with personal and interpersonal satisfaction. The questions, "What is love?" and "What is intimacy" will be explored and arrived at in different ways as this pertains to the needs of the group. The ultimate goal is to arrive at the process, the present and make contact with one's authentic self. The day, time and start date will be determined once I have an idea of your schedule. The Limen is a discussion and experiential group offering an opportunity to heighten consciousness through new thought or new capacity within the self. In the spirit of exploring a new topic each month, we will be ushering in what is known and making contact with the margins of what is not yet known, encountered, or sensed. Here, we will use it to cultivate a transitional space to encounter the sensory threshold (of memories, dreams, encounters, sense impressions and reflections) where we perceive and play with nuance, ambiguity, conflict, temporality, paradox, subjectivity, metamorphosis, and process. First group is 10/11/17.
