Welcome. Looking for peace, calm, balance and tranquility? I use a collaborative, strength-based approach in my work with individuals, couples, and families. Clients come in to address difficulties such as depression, anxiety, and strained relationships. Parents often seek information and support regarding single parenting, parenting a child with ADHD, behavioral problems, learning difficulties, developmental delays, depression, and/or anxiety. Couples seek to improve their relationship or to cope with a difficult situation such as parenting in blended families and caring for elderly parents.
As a specialist in child and family therapy, I often work with family members, either separately or in the same session, to facilitate understanding, coping, and change. I also use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to examine the relationship between thoughts, feelings and actions to encourage long-term change.
In addition, the use of relaxation techniques and mindfulness practices may be utilized as a means of exploring the connections between the mind and body in order to improve clients' well-being. During our journey together, we will seek balance, ease, and health.
