I help adults who want breakthroughs in their individual lives or in their complicated family. Adulting requires problem-solving skills, including mastering emotions that may threaten to overwhelm us. I help individuals and couples who are ready to tolerate the anxiety of making changes in their own perspectives and behavior. Others may struggle with unwelcome changes (break-ups, losing a job, stepfamily issues) and need strategies to move forward with purpose and peace. I can help you, too. Although I highly value the intimacy of in-office sessions, I also offer Zoom sessions.
All people learn differently, so I use both words and diagrams to illustrate ideas. I specialize in transactional analysis (to teach communication skills), Jungian ideas of adult development, and family systems theory--all of which sounds terrifying. But I'll break them down into images on a whiteboard, and you'll be amazed how they will "stick."
Self-growth and relationship skills are more challenging than ever in our cyber-dominated world. Every hour we spend together will be focussed on your needs and aspirations.
