I see clients who are dealing with trauma, although it's not always obvious that past experiences are running the show. Many of my clients struggle with perfectionism, addiction, boundaries, people-pleasing, self-worth, and feeling stuck and unsatisfied with life. I am open and affirming to all identities and bodies. I often work with communities I align with, like queer, poly, ethical non-monogamy (ENM), and kink. My background includes working with substance/process addictions, people experiencing homelessness and incarceration, survivors of suicide loss, and members of the kink and ENM communities.
As a trauma-focused therapist, I consider how your life experience has shaped you. I specialize in healing the mind-body connection through somatic interventions, parts work, ACT, mindfulness, and self-compassion. I use a nervous system-based approach that bridges science and evidenced-based practices with your body and mind's natural wisdom for healing.
I recognize that a great deal of suffering is influenced by the body, mind, and soul's response to maddening systemic, ecological, and cultural influences. I don't think you are crazy.
