I enjoy working with adults, children (ages 10+), pre-teens, teens and their families. I have extensive experience addressing symptoms of depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, self-esteem/ self-concept, social/ emotional difficulties, co-occurring mental health diagnoses, grief and loss, parenting, emotional difficulties related to family of origin, and issues related to adoption and kinship care for all members of adoptive and kinship families, particularly attachment related difficulties.
I provide relationship-based interventions with a focus on existing attachment patterns. This work assists clients in developing more secure patterns of relating to others. My clients experience positive outcomes with long-lasting and far-reaching effects, and fundamental shifts in how they navigate through significant and/ or traumatic life experiences.
I have a deep respect for each client’s cultural background and worldview, encouraging the sharing and processing of deeply personal aspects of self. Through an integrated approach, I enjoy supporting clients as they tell their story in a way that is empowering, encouraging new approaches to the challenges of life.
