In my practice, I work with individuals, couples and families dealing with a variety of issues: anger, infidelity, marital discord, depression, anxiety, sexual abuse, early childhood trauma, self-esteem, grief and loss, acculturation, pre-marital counseling, post traumatic stress and war. I am familiar with the many difficulties people experience during tumultuous and unpredictable times. I assist the client(s) to learn and or recognize their strengths, gain new coping skills and the empowerment necessary to make changes.
People seek my help when they are at a crossroads in their life or they are experiencing difficulty in their personal relationships. You want change, but don't know where to start. I create a safe and open space empathically listening to you to help you make sense out of painful & confusing experiences.
Every client is different and so are their needs. I work with client's using different Modalites: Psychodynamics, Mindfulness Based Therapy & Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I facilitate a successful Anger Management group in Chatsworth and a support group for Iranian women "Knowing Me & Loving You" how to create deserving relationships.

The Anger Management Group is a co-ed educational group for court mandated and self-referred individuals. This group is is led by two facilitators utilizing a cognitive behavioral approach. This approach assists group members in building skills that will help them foster mindful awareness of their anger triggers, how their thoughts affect their feelings that lead to destructive behavior. Group members learn how to make constructive choices in managing their anger.
