Do you want to get to know yourself better? Therapy is a powerful tool in helping you do just that. In our work, I'll create a safe and nurturing space in which we can reduce your symptoms and achieve insight. Through our talk we'll uncover negative patterns. These patterns appear in our personal relationships or professional lives, and often in both. Often they appear most prominently when a life change happens. By understanding these unhelpful patterns, we can then address them so that you can lead a more meaningful and fulfilling life - and get "unstuck!" I work with many who identify as LGBTQ+ and am an ally.
Prior to entering the field of social work, I worked as a theatre actor. That experience informs my current practice. Feeling fully is essential to both creative work and the therapeutic process. I understand the pressures, drives, and imagination involved in creative endeavors. I use my sense of humor and sensitivity in therapeutic work.
I am excited by the immediate and collaborative nature of talk therapy and believe in its power to heal. Even without a precipitating crisis or diagnosis, therapy is a way to get to know yourself better and live your life authentically and fully. The therapeutic relationship is important, and I've found it's most helpful to have weekly appointments.
