My name is Grace Shivka! My pronouns are she/her. I focus on providing affirming, humanistic, and client-centered counseling for adolescents and adults. I believe each client is the expert to their own story and lived experience. As a counselor, I can provide a therapeutic lens combined with tailored coping skills, emotion regulation strategies and interpersonal effectiveness skills to help you navigate living with trauma, conflict, and other mental health challenges. While we address your unique needs and goals together, you will be met with empathy, openness, warmth, honesty, and compassion every step of the way.
I utilize a variety of modalities that meet each client where they are. Some of these are: CBT, DBT Skills, Sandtray, Mindfulness, & Motivational Interviewing. Our sessions may range from learning how to breathe through a panic attack, to setting a boundary with a family member. We will focus on what you want bring to the therapeutic space in the moment!
