Hi there! My name is Giovanni, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing psychotherapy services at River Shoals counseling in Dahlonega and Gainesville, as well as tele-health sessions . My approach is client-centered and trauma-informed, utilizing an eclectic array of interventions dependent on the individual client's needs. I have experience working with folks from all walks of life and consider the client the expert of their truth.

My areas of special interest and experience are past childhood-trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, men's issues, anger, and conflict among couples. My experience includes working with both men and women survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence, self-harm, and childhood trauma.

My focus is to create a safe and inviting space to encourage honest, purposeful exploration into past and present adversities. I aspire to provide a non-judgemental space for individuals to redefine past trauma responses and learn new coping techniques in their journey towards optimum mental hygiene.
