One of my primary goals as a therapist is to highlight the tendency we have to let the problems we experience interfere with the things in life that we value most. This can leave us feeling extremely frustrated, unfulfilled, and even hopeless! I want to help people learn to practice acceptance and mindfulness, as we develop and determine a sense of direction, with the goal of restoring a sense of meaning and purpose in life.
I provide individual, couples and family counseling for adolescents and adults. This includes working through issues with substance abuse, trauma, depression and anxiety, as well as grief and loss. In addition to traditional cognitive-behavioral "talk-therapies," I provide EMDR to address trauma, PTSD symptoms, and self-defeating core beliefs.
