Isolation is the killer. For many, influences to pivot away from isolation and towards healing, connection, and growth are complex, challenging, and hopeful. My clients are invited to explore their “painful wounds” and discover how their pain’s influence leads to self-identity issues, certain behaviors, relationship constraints, and patterns that decrease movement toward growth. Growth towards living with a whole heart of emotions, less ambiguity, finding increased purpose, and engaged relationships. Growth towards self-compassion and employing in their lives what they value most.
My relational and psychoanalytical approach invites a style that is warm, interactive, compassionately direct, holistic, and experientially grounded in what works. I am the wrong therapist for you if you are looking for an analyst who tends not to lean in & explore collaboratively.
My practice focuses on working with people struggling with issues concerning anger management, impulsivity, chronic shame, divorce, relationships, anxiety, depression, overwhelmingness, identity, and sexuality. I also work with couples and families who experience continual conflict, blocked intimacy, emotional connection & parenting issues.
