Therapy should be a safe place for people to express their emotions, improve relationships, and explore and discuss their previous experiences. I believe it is crucial to provide support and empathy in order to create a nurturing therapeutic environment. I am committed to helping clients identify their personal strengths and form positive and healthy connections with different people in their lives. I recognize the difficulty in seeking help, and I am honored when clients trust me to enter their lives to help them overcome difficult situations.
I primarily work with pre-teens, adolescents, and young adults who experience emotional and behavioral difficulties. I have received specialized training to work with clients who experience trauma or other adverse life experiences. I also have experience working with clients who experience anxiety, depression, relationship issues, low self-esteem, and grief.
I have learned and gained an appreciation for how it is my responsibility to recognize and understand each client's own unique differences and how this impacts who they are in the therapy room. It is the client who guides the therapeutic relationship and I tailor my approach to best meet the client's needs.
