While I work with all types of individuals, I specialize in working with men's mental health and couples in Los Angeles and virtually throughout California. For effective work, I believe it takes a unique understanding of the specific issues men face related to navigating relationships/intimacy, pressures associated with masculinity, job stress & career shifts, male friendships, emotional well-being, support for new dads, and much more. I help couples develop the individual insight and self-awareness necessary to understand, repair, & strengthen their relationship and improve communication/listening skills & emotional expression.
In my experience, the social expectations of masculinity can make it difficult for men to find a safe space to talk about many of the issues they face. Working with men, I create a non-judgemental space to talk openly about their relational challenges, emotions, and self-worth, which isn’t always available in their existing male social relationships.
As a Los Angeles native, I received my BA in Communication & Sociology from UC Davis and my Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, LA. My professional experience as a therapist includes training at the esteemed Maple Counseling Center and I hold a certificate in Psychoanalytic Studies from LAISPS.
