| español I focus on being culturally-humble and respectful of my clients. I work with individuals, families, and couples. I offer counseling for depression, anxiety, life transitions, systemic oppression, dysfunctional family dynamics, emotional dysregulation, self-esteem issues, and unresolved trauma. I believe the healing process is a journey, which must involve the whole being: mind, body, and spirit and view the individual as multidimensional.
My approach is emotionally focused and psychodynamic. My commitment to you is to hold a safe and affirming space where you can process the painful and difficult parts of your life. My intention is for you to walk away from therapy feeling empowered, connected, and fulfilled.
The first few sessions will be a collaborative experience of getting to know each other. I will aim to create a safe space of nonjudgment and empathy so that we can explore what brought you to therapy. I also offer psychological immigration evaluations for asylum, extreme hardship waivers, U & T visas, and VAWA cases.
