I provide psychotherapy to a diverse population of clients, specializing in survivors of trauma, borderline personality disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety, LGBTQIA+ issues, anger, family issues, couples' issues, bipolar disorder, chronic illness, grief and bereavement. My practice is rooted in principles of affirmation, intersectional justice, harm reduction, and embodiment and holds the position that social oppressions and systemic problems operate as barriers to wellness.
My approach includes culturally competent therapies tailored to each individual patient, drawing from Psychodynamic, Narrative, Existential, Dialectical-Behavioral, Cognitive-Behavioral, Attachment-Based, and Family Systems therapies. I am a committed student of how art, mindfulness and somatic experiencing practices impact the therapeutic process as well.
I provide a warm and empathic approach to psychotherapy that is based on the goals and values of each client. I take care to listen, understand and validate each client's perspective and experience. I help clients develop meaningful ways to relate to themselves and others, build purposeful lives, cope with systemic barriers to wellness, and commit to change.
