My name is Dr. Mark Gindi and I am a psychiatrist trained in both psychopharmacology as well as talk therapy. Psychiatric conditions can be complex as they emerge from the intersection of a person’s psychological history, biological endowments, and social context. By forming a therapeutic relationship based on honesty and collaboration, I’m eager to help my patients control their conditions and deepen their understanding of themselves.
When medications are used, my aim is to always medicate a person with a conservative approach that is proportional to the burden of their symptoms. As a writer, I am also particularly sensitive to the potential effects of medications on people’s creativity and emotional attunement to the world around them.
