Mindfulness for Self-Acceptance/ Stress Reduction
This group teaches Vipassana Mindfulness to help clients experience emotional balance, well-being, and increased awareness of, and compassion for, self and others. Clients learn to notice how they respond defensively, automatically, and unconsciously to avoid or resist emotional discomfort, especially in relationships. Rather than resisting or reacting, one can learn to pause with openness and kindness for uncomfortable thoughts and feelings with a sense of non-judgment and acceptance. This program will include specific ways in dealing with issues such as shame and fear that keep you from being authentic with others. These programs help you own your feelings, acknowledge your needs, and tell your truth, your story. Meetings will be held on a weekly and/or 3 day intensive basis.
