I am a PhD-level psychologist practicing in Alberta and Ontario. I have a special interest in women's perinatal (prenatal and postpartum) mental health, as well as supporting men and women in their journey and transition to parenthood. This includes trying to conceive, infertility, pregnancy loss/miscarriage, birth trauma, postpartum mood disorders, and navigating early childhood (parents with children ages 0-5). I have a strong background in treating depression and anxiety, as well as relationship and communication difficulties. My goal is to help clients by increasing coping skills and reducing emotional pain and suffering.
I take a client-centered approach, which emphasizes that a collaborative, supportive, and non-judgmental relationship between client and psychologist is a key component of therapy. My background and training is in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), although I draw from other therapeutic approaches to individualize treatment based on client needs.
I strongly believe in the importance of fit between psychologist and client, and provide a free 15-minute consultation to help you decide if working together is right for you.
