So many of us can relate to the experience of feeling stuck. Maybe we've been hurt by loved ones and struggle to feel a sense of trust and connectedness. Some of us feel caught in patterns that aren't serving us, such as anger, racing thoughts, perfectionism, or self-criticism. Intense emotions may overwhelm and confuse us, causing us to spiral or lash out at others. Despite our best efforts and intentions, we may find ourselves unable to change these destructive patterns. We want to stop feeling overwhelmed and out of control. We want to feel understood, accepted, more balanced emotionally and secure with others.
I use evidence-based approaches to help my clients understand their experiences, access and transform emotions, and to adopt new patterns that foster self-efficacy and connection with others. My approach is predominantly Emotionally Focused (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) and Narrative. I offer in-person and virtual sessions Mon-Thurs during the day.
Finding the right therapist can be challenging, and I acknowledge the courage and commitment it takes. If you would like to learn more about how I can help, please send me an email and share a few details about what you are hoping to address in therapy. I also offer complimentary 15 minute phone consultations to address any questions you might have.

I work with individuals who are struggling with stress and anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. I also work with couples who feel they have lost their connection and intimacy. We'll begin by exploring your concerns and treatment goals and collaborate on a path forward. My clients start to feel renewed hope and self-efficacy, more emotional balance and calm as therapy continues.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a person-centered, non-judgmental approach to therapy. It is also based on attachment theory, which views core emotions, vulnerabilities, protective strategies, and the need for safe connection with others to be universal (Sue Johnson). Accessing and making sense of our inner experiences leads to meaningful change in how we see ourselves and others.
