Accepting New Clients - Child and Adolescent Anxiety Specialist. You have a pre-teen or teen who is struggling with managing intense feelings, who may get caught in unhelpful thoughts. This can be overwhelming as a young person and as a parent. As a parent, you want to be more connected to your child and learn ways to navigate the journey with them. I specialize in finding young people’s strengths and empowering pre-teens and teens to make changes in their lives to become more connected, confident, and resilient, with you by their side. I can help young people manage anxiety and stress before it takes over their lives.
Through kind, gentle, and non-judgmental therapy we will discover what is getting in the way of your young person living the life they want. My approach is based on attachment theory and the connection between our thoughts, feelings, and sensations. In addition I offer emotion focused parent coaching and support.
I am genuine and accepting with young people, and pride myself in being able to connect with them so that they feel safe and secure. I believe that one of the most important parts of therapy is the relationship to the therapist, so I offer complimentary connection calls to ensure we are a good fit.
