As a Toronto-based Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist, I specialize in working with individuals dealing with Anxiety, Depression, and Attachment Trauma. My practice philosophy emphasizes the importance of understanding the root causes behind the challenges you are facing (the 'why'). I can help you process your history and decrease negative emotions like anxiety, sadness and shame; learn new ways of coping; and shifting maladaptive thoughts (i.e strong inner critic) and behaviours that are getting in the way of you feeling better.
My therapy style is direct, warm, validating, empathetic and non-judgmental. Clients tell me that they find me easy to talk to. I mostly operate from Psychodynamic, Relational, Attachment-Based, and Emotionally Focused approaches. However, I also integrate principles from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy.
