Starting or resuming therapy can be difficult, I commend you on taking the step towards support. I believe each individual brings their own experiences and perspectives to therapy. Through collaboration, we can better understand how the cycles and thoughts that may cause you to feel stuck or cause distressed can be shifted to create change and inspire hope. My practice is client centered, and connection focused. I believe through creating a validating and safe space to process difficulties, important skills can be learned that will help create change in your life.
Working in the field of mental health and addiction as a Registered Psychotherapist has afforded me the experience and knowledge to support those on difficult journeys of change. Whether it be marital distress, conflict, addiction, trauma, or anxiety, working together we can identify patterns, learn and develop skills to manage these challenges.
I have focus my practice on listening to the needs of, and learning about those I work with. I do this through integrating my trainings in Narrative Therapy, Somatic Psychotherapy, EMDR, CBT, DBT, EFT, Trauma Focused - CBT, Gottman Couples Counselling, and as CSAT-S Certified Addiction Counsellor, into the conversations with folks i work with.
