There's some kind of trouble with yourself or the world. You're afraid, or self-critical, or frozen in resentment or grief. Maybe you're critical of others. Maybe you simmer. Maybe others take advantage of you, but somehow it's hard to say no. Or maybe you come on too strong. You overdo it. Somehow you just can't find the balance. You'd like to make a change, but you honestly don't know what to do. You're afraid if you start that you'll scream, or you'll cry, or nothing at will come out at all. Maybe this has happened. You either keep doing what isn't working, or you've stopped doing anything at all.

In an Action Group, we get off the couch, up on our feet, and start DOING. First we'll mobilize some energy - then you'll gradually figure out how you'd like to direct it. With the support of the group, you'll do things you didn't know you could do, things you'd written off, things that maybe you've failed at before.

The group sees your struggle, appreciates your progress, understands when you fall, and catches you. You're going to do the same for them. Action Group: Discover what's possible.

Balancing Acts

Balancing Acts is an Action Group of 6-8 people who help one another to explore and resolve their dilemmas, in order to live a more authentic and satisfying life. Our challenges reveal themselves in very specific circumstances and situations. With the help of the facilitator and your fellow group members, we recreate these situations in the here-and-now, embodying the scenes, in order to find new ways to work with ourselves and others. New members start April 23rd, 2024.

New -- Morning Group! "I'll Be Your Mirror" is an action group designed to help you better understand yourself and others. Through an active, embodied exploration of thoughts, feelings and behaviors, we promote growth and healing. Through a process of warmup, action and sharing, an action group can help people overcome depression, anxiety, self-criticism, unfinished business, trauma, and indecision, as well as improve relationships, self-esteem and life satisfaction. If you’d like to do some of that work in a closed-group setting, with warmth, support, and real permission to dig into your stuff — and if you like the idea of championing the healing of your fellow therapists — then this group may be for you.
