In my work with couples and families, I provide a warm, non-judgmental presence to help you share your story, make discoveries, and meet your goals. I have a particular passion for helping couples, and I also work with individuals of all ages. I see family members as part of a connected system, and I honor each person's need for belonging and independence within their closest relationships. My background in education and love for the natural world shape my connection with clients.
I have training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for Couples, a humanistic approach based on adult attachment. Attachment views human beings as innately relational; and the goal of EFT is to create a secure emotional bond between partners. My work is also informed by Bowen Family Systems Theory, which honors the inherent wisdom in families.
