The best outcome for a person who seeks psychological counseling is to reach his or her inner peace. I see myself as a coach or a facilitator to assist my clients reach their goals. I have more than 20 years of experience in treating people with anxiety, depression, work or relationship issues. I subscribe to cognitive-behavioral therapy; but also integrate other methods in counseling. I provide parenting consultation for children's behavioral or academic problems. I have the privilege to work with people from different cultural, sexual and religious backgrounds. My past clients are my primary referral sources.
My bachelor degree is from National Taiwan University and Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University. I conduct consultation, evaluation, and therapy in both Chinese and English. I have experience in universities, hospitals and outpatient clinics as well as consultation with attorneys, probation officers and school administrators.
I am not the kind of the psychologists who just sit there and nod their heads. I am engaging, attentive and have a great sense of humor. My oldest client was 94 when she came to see me. If she could change, so could you.
