I rely on a strengths-based, collaborative approach, meeting adult and young adult clients with warmth and compassion. I believe that we are all looking to be our best selves and have the resources within us to get there. I have spent over twenty years as a therapist, with extensive experience helping clients navigate work/life balance, addiction and recovery, trauma, parenting, family and relationship dynamics and life transitions. I offer EMDR for trauma therapy, a variety of approaches for individuals exploring the impact of substance use or codependency in their lives and support during particularly stressful life stages.
We may work together for a few sessions to navigate a life transition or meet regularly over a longer period of time to manage long term stressors and develop new strategies and resilience. I offer day and evening appointments and flexibility to work with busy schedules.
I graduated from Davidson College with a degree in psychology and received my Master's in Community & Addiction Counseling from the College of William & Mary. Outside of work you will find me raising teenagers and a small flock of chickens, running on a long flat trail or having another cup of coffee.
