When we understand that mind and body are essentially connected and bring both into the therapy process, healing can take place in every layer of being. The healing effects of mind-body interventions are well established by research.
Somatic (body-based) interventions address the connection between the brain and the body and use the knowledge of how our nervous system functions to help heal unresolved emotional issues, chronic stress and trauma that is stored in the body. Bringing the body into the therapy process allows us to tap into our nervous system and find true healing.
My approach is tailored to your needs and is trauma informed. The therapeutic relationship is the foundation for healing and is of utmost importance to me.
