EMDR is best known for treating PTSD, once aka "shell-shock" was only those who survived combat. More research indicates that there are several kinds of trauma, such as "complex trauma." Symptoms: Debilitating anxiety, depression, unstable moods, anger, & unstable relationships are all symptoms of how the body keeps score & protects us from perceived harm.
