I offer an integrative approach to individuals and couples seeking solutions and insight into their life challenges. Client-centered psychotherapy is the basis of my work for concerns such as anxiety and depression, post-traumatic stress, family stressors, relationship issues, difficulties with self-esteem, grief and loss, or life transition. I work with couples, individual adults, and young adults (18+) and provide both short-term and long-term psychotherapy approaches. I have experience with clients who are either in recovery from an addiction themselves or have a family member struggling with these concerns.
Humanistic psychology and family systems are the foundation of much of the psychotherapy that I offer. I also draw from mindfulness approaches and cognitive behavioral therapy, as well as body-centered counseling and somatic awareness. I have an interest in the Enneagram and use this with clients who would like to focus on mindfulness and self-inquiry.
I have a specialty working with post-traumatic stress. This may include traditional narrative talk therapy, use of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), or Lifespan Integration which uses guided imagery as a way of treating trauma. I also use Energy Psychology approaches such as EFT or "tapping" for concerns related to anxiety.
