Hello! My name is Taren and I have been working in the field of mental health since 2008. I thoroughly enjoy working with people and feel honored when a person trusts in me their life story/current difficulties. I believe there are many different reasons to seek therapy, and that each of us have walked such unique and sometimes challenging paths to get to where we are today. I enjoy getting to know the intricacies of these paths and what has led an individual to where they are today, and from their beginning the work, collaboratively, towards where one would ideally like to be. I lead with compassion, warmth, humor, and curiosity.
I have a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Seattle University and a BA in Psychology from the University of Washington. I have worked with a wide range of symptoms in a variety of settings; however most of my experience lies in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, and adapting to life changes.
